Site Technician

Salary: £20,886 – £22,184 per annum

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Split shift – Week 1: 6am – 2pm, Week 2: 11:30am – 7:30pm

We are seeking to appoint a skilled Site Technician to join our dedicated Site Team. The core purpose of this role is to assist the Site Manager in the efficient and effective management of the Academy site, ensuring accommodation, buildings and grounds are safe, clean, secure, accessible, and compliant with health and safety at all times.

Duties will include opening and closing the building, maintaining security systems including operation of fire, smoke and intruder alarms, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance including plumbing, joinery repairs and decorating, checking and maintaining boiler, chiller and BMS systems, and responding to general emergencies. The post holder will also be expected to deputise for the Site Manager as required.

We are looking for someone who is customer focused, with excellent trade skills, particularly in plumbing, decorating and joinery. The successful candidate will work in an organised manner, with limited supervision, and will maintain a professional image at all times. Experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Cleaner

Salary: £4,083 per annum (based on FTE of £15,107 per annum)

10 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Morning shift, 6am-8am, Monday - Friday

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Cleaner to join our dedicated site team, to be responsible for the daily cleaning of designated areas across the Academy to a professional and high standard, in line with health and safety requirements.

The post holders will work individually and as part of a team to ensure areas are kept clean, presentable and safe at all times. Duties include vacuum cleaning, mopping floors, cleaning toilets, dusting and washing designated areas, cleaning fixtures and fittings, emptying rubbish bins, lifting and carrying sacks containing waste paper, and reporting any concerns or issues to the Cleaning Supervisor.

We are ideally looking for applicants with previous experience of working in the cleaning industry in a customer facing environment, who are able to work well individually and as part of a large team. The right candidates will be organised, methodical, self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail and a desire to deliver a consistently high standard of service.

Student Supervisor

11:30am – 1:40pmMonday - Friday

We are seeking to appoint a Student Supervisor to supervise and assist the students during lunchtime in designated outside areas, ensuring they stay within the premises and engage in safe activities, and to manage their behaviour to ensure that their health, safety and welfare are maintained at all times. The post involves working outside at all times of the year.

Candidates will be enthusiastic about working and interacting with children in a school environment and will ideally have experience of supervising children, either in a similar role, or as a parent or carer. The ability to gain respect from students and deal with situations in a calm and professional manner are essential requirements of the role.
