Raising money for Children in Need - How can YOU help?

Fri, 10 Nov 2017

It's that time of year when all the best people put on a pair of yellow ears to help change the lives of disadvantaged young people across the UK. Bear Ears will be on sale all this week for £2.50 each.

The Bulwell Academy will be raising money again this year for the Children in Need appeal on Friday 17 November 2017. Last year was a great success with a fantastic atmosphere, and we are hoping to replicate this on Friday. In the past, we have managed to raise over £1500  - please support us in our bid to raise even more this year!

Our lovely sixth form students, led by Courtney Taylor, are organising a number of activities to make the day really special. Activities will cost between 20p and £1 - including Cake SaleFancy Dress for Teachers (sponsor your teachers to dress up as "Characters from Movies"), Trainers for a Day (50p must be paid for before Friday) and our annual Giant Pudsey creation in the courtyard.

Please bring lots of spare change if you can on Friday so that you can join in with the fun. Lots of coins will be needed for the Giant Pudsey - please empty your piggy-banks, search down the sides of the sofa and ask family and friends if they can spare some change too! Every little bit helps! We are also collecting Round Pounds as these can no longer be used in the shops but can be donated to Children in Need.
