Mr Lowther is stepping into the ring to raise money for Cancer Research

Wed, 01 Mar 2017
On 18 March, our Year 11 Manager, Mr Lowther, is putting on his boxing gloves to raise money for Cancer Research.  Every penny raised will go directly to supporting cancer sufferers or supporting research that is needed for countless sufferers of this disease. The event is facilitated by Ultra White Collar Boxing who have raised over 5 million pounds for Cancer Research UK.
Mr Lowther has now been training for six weeks, and has just two weeks left before the big fight. Mr Lowther said, "Since leaving the army, this has been the most physically demanding thing I have done.  I have suffered bruised ribs, a black eye, a sprained thumb and injured my jaw, but I am still going strong and very much looking forward to the big night.  Thank you to all those who have supported me so far, especially Mr Elland [Y10 Manager] who has been putting me through my paces." "

We wish Mr Lowther all the best on 18 March.
